  • All players place their chosen character on the middle “Start” square that corresponds with their character’s color. The middle stars point towards each character’s start square. (Throughout the game, the term “blue” applies to both the light blue and dark blue characters.)

RULES

  • There are four locations on the game board: Mountains (silver), Village (blue), City (purple), and Forest (yellow).

  • All players start out with 10 Health Points, and can have a maximum of 10 Health Points at any given time.

  • Players that lose all of their Health Points are eliminated from the game.

  • The last player to have remaining Health Points is the winner of the game.

PLAYING THE GAME

  1. Players all roll the dice before beginning the game. The player who rolls the highest number is Player 1. After Player 1 is determined, both players directly beside Player 1 compare their rolls to determine who goes next. The order continues in that direction.

  2. To begin, each player will, in order, roll the dice to determine how many squares they will move their character in their turn.

  3. After the player has rolled, they will then spin the compass spinner to determine what direction their character will move in. Compass directions are shown on the border of the game board.

  4. Players that roll a number move only the the maximum amount of spaces possible without landing their character off of the game board. If it is impossible for the player to move at all, the player spins the compass spinner again until it is possible for them to move.

  5. Once a player has moved the amount of spaces rolled in the direction spun and completed any steps on cards drawn, their turn is over and the next player rolls.

  6. Players draw a card if:

    1. they land on the same square as another player (see “Killer Cards”)

    2. they land on a Wild Space. (see “Wild Cards”)

CARDS

Killer Cards:

  • When two characters land on the same square, the second player to arrive on the square is assigned the Killer and the first player on the square is assigned the Victim. The Killer draws a Killer card and the Killer and/or Victim follow directions on the card immediately.

  • Killer Cards are played if a player is directed to move to another player’s square, even if it is not either player’s turn.

Wild Cards:

  • If a player lands on a Wild Space, they draw a Wild Card that coordinates with the location they are in, and follows directions on the card.

  • Players can only play a Wild Card on their turn, and if they have landed on a Wild Space. If a player lands on a wild space when it is not their turn, they wait until their turn to play the Wild Card. Player does not roll again after playing card.

  • When a card directs a certain color player to perform different directions than the directions above it, (see figure ahead) the player only follows the colored direction if they are that color character.

In the figure above, if the player is not the purple character, they would only follow the black directions. If the player is the purple character, they would only follow the purple directions. (“blue” applies to both the light blue and dark blue character.)

  • Used cards are placed in the back of the card pile.

  • If a card directs a player to gain a number of Health Points that will cause them to have a total amount above 10 Health Points, they discard any extras. (Discarded Health Points are placed in the Health Point Discard box)

  • Players that move onto the same space as a player on a Wild Space must choose whether to play the Killer Card or the Wild Card. The player cannot play both cards.

  • If a player lands on a space where there are two existing players, the player chooses which player they wish to attack with a Killer Card.

  • When a card directs a player to move in a single direction towards an opponent, the player can only move in a straight line in one direction. If a card directs a player to move in any direction, the player may move the amount of spaces in a curved line.

  • If two players land on the same square at the same time, players roll to determine who is the Killer and who is the Victim. The higher roller is the Killer and the lower roller is the Victim. If two players land on the same space at the same time and the space is a Wild Space, the players must both agree whether to both play the Wild Card or to play a Killer Card.

  • If a player is directed to steal an amount of Health Points from another player, the other player gives the amount of Health Points to the player. If the amount of Health Points stolen causes the thief to have more than 10 Health Points, the stolen-from player takes back extra Health Points.

  • If two players land on the same space as another player at the same time, both players roll to determine who plays the Killer Card on the other player. The lower roller is the Killer.
